Hmm
once again election season in the largest democracy of the world. Elections are going to be held in three states but battle for maha seems to be most ferocious. Now days in India development seems to be on back agenda. Its like curd at the end of dinner in a bhoj. Thanks to the visionary politicians like Kasiram and Raj Thackrey. Mumbai sinks each year...India's Sanghai. But who cares ........these are the last line of each parties election manifesto . Can anyone tell me what Ayodhya and Ram mandir had to do with Maha elections. BJP is lost in its own internal battle. The congress ncp combination had performed diabolically in last 10 years . Whether its Mumbai terrorist attack
or suicides by farmers. Now battle is between young Thackrey vs old.Raj reminds them of the old Bal Thackeray, a promise of aggressive opposition that Sena ideologues and cadres so love. The MNS has the usual stuff on offer: houses and jobs for locals, work permits for outsiders, Marathi as lingua prima and so on. The manifesto doesn’t really matter. The violence and limitedness inherent in the ideology doesn’t either. What matters is Raj’s connect with an electorate that is increasingly tired of Uddhav’s style of functioning, his relatively inclusive agenda, his inability to put a non-performing government on the mat.
Who knows the result ?...It may be a surprise like 2009 general elections .
But one thing need to be noted ............People are loosing interest in elections . Even after bombay attacks the voting percentage have fallen in 2009. These are sign of early cancer for our young democracy.
